see a short infographic about creating effective diversity, equity, and inclusion programming

Learning Objective: Learners will effectively design diversity & inclusion programming using the best practices in this infographic.

Visual Design Goals: I chose this design from Canva, which has many useful templates that follow the important rules of visual design.

Key features of my design are:

1. Balance: There is strong mirrored structure (the top and the bottom of the image are the same, the middle of the image includes squares that are all the same size).

2. Hierarchy: The text at the beginning is largest, with the best practices themselves being summarized in the second-largest text.

3. Unity: The images, text box sizes, and shapes are all symmetrical and part of the same color scheme, which harmonizes the overall image together.

4. Gestalt: It's clear that the images are reflecting best practices/this is an informational document through the use of text structured in different places.

Canva is a useful platform, because it includes images and infographic samples that already take into account line, shape, have plenty of options to retain negative space, color, texture, value, and even volume.
