Admission

As of 2025, there is no admission fee, annual membership fee, or conference registration fee.As a benefit of membership, you can receive free email notifications of Society-organized workshops and other events, as well as links to digital resources.Conventions
Basically, a research meeting is held once a year.
The conference will basically be held in a hybrid format of onsite and online (zoom).
Collection of Papers
The proceedings of the conference will be made available on this website in an open-access format.
Submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by scholars specializing in linguistics before acceptance or rejection. In addition to research ethics, scholarship, and credibility, one of the key points of peer review is whether the research is related to both linguistics and other fields. Linguistics here is broadly defined as “the medium or means used for the expression, transmission, and reception of information and intention,” and examples of related fields may include the following Examples of related fields include: acoustics, semiotics, communication theory, design studies, etc.
This is an international and interdisciplinary academic society with many researchers who are not Japanese nationals or who do not specialize in linguistics. Please try to avoid local technical terms that are difficult for overseas researchers and non-Japanese specialists, and try to explain difficult parts of the content in a way that is easy to understand.
In principle, each paper will be reviewed by two reviewers. In principle, each paper will be reviewed by two reviewers; however, if the contributor and the reviewer are the same person, two reviewers other than the reviewer concerned will be designated. The person who anonymizes the reviewers will not be allowed to contribute papers to the journal.
