Experienced Osteopath in Ryde, Isle of Wight
Established in 2000, the practice is owned by David Barton BSc (Hons) Ost and has established a large and loyal customer base across the Isle of Wight and south coast.
In 1993, osteopathy became the first major complementary health care profession to be accorded statutory recognition under the 1993 Osteopaths Act. This has culminated in the opening of the statutory register of osteopaths by the General Osteopathic Council in May 1998. Only those practitioners able to show that they have been in safe and competent practice of osteopathy will be allowed onto the register.
David Barton is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy (iO) and registered with the General Osteopathic Council. The iO is the largest membership body of osteopaths in the UK and works to unite, support, develop and promote the osteopathic profession for the benefit of patient care.
