MATH 4651 gives an in-depth and rigorous treatment of concepts seen in a first linear algebra course, followed by selected advanced topics.
Topics include vector spaces, linear transformations and matrices, determinants, diagonalization, eigenspaces, Jordan canonical forms, and inner product spaces. Further topics may include Smith normal form, singular value decomposition, bilinear forms, and tensors.
