I am a Postdoctoral Instructor at UT Austin, working with Maggie Miller.
Previously, I was a Whyburn Research Associate and Lecturer at University of Virginia, working with Slava Krushkal. I received my Ph.D. from Indiana University in 2023 under the guidance of Kent Orr.
My research interests lie in low-dimensional geometric topology. I study 3- and 4-dimensional manifolds and relationships between them. I am especially interested in concordance of knots, links, and surfaces and homology cobordism. See my research page for more details, including current and recent projects, or my research statement for a longer description of my research program.
In addition to research in mathematics, I am passionate about education and view teaching in the classroom and beyond as an essential component of my work as a mathematician. See my teaching and mentoring pages for more information.
