Fastest48 is an attempt to drive through all 48 contiguous US states in the shortest possible time. When we did the drive in 2018, the record was 94 hours, 42 minutes. It's since been destroyed by three guys driving very fast in a tricked out Mercedes (86 hours, 19 minutes. Here are some Fastest48 Record FAQs.
The first attempt was made by Ryan Scott, Michael Yost, and Jason Burnham from August 6-10, 2018. A map of the adventure can be found here. Due to a flat tire on their rented Dodge Caravan, they were unable to set the record, but finished in a time of 97 hours, 11 minutes.
