This project used the ADDIE instructional design model to create a professional development workshop focused on increasing student engagement through interactive Nearpod lessons. Teacher survey data helped identify the need for more support with engagement, differentiation, and interactive lesson design. The final workshop plan shows how structured instructional design can support teachers and improve classroom learning.
This project highlights the use of Virtual Reality field trips as an instructional strategy to increase student engagement and support deeper learning. The presentation demonstrates how students can explore environments such as the Amazon Rainforest, participate in follow-up reflection activities, and connect virtual experiences to academic standards. This work reflects my commitment to integrating innovative technology to create engaging, student-centered learning experiences.
