Simple flow. Easy to follow. Always musical.
1. Sign Up
When you RSVP (or just come in), you can suggest a simple progression, riff, or groove idea you’d like to lead. If you bring the idea, you’re the director for that tune — guiding the start, the flow, and the ending.
2. Start the Groove
The house rhythm section (drums, bass, guitar, keys) kicks things off. The director chooses: all‑in from the top, or one instrument starts and others layer in.
3. Let the Groove Develop
The rhythm section locks in the pocket for a minute or two. Everyone else listens, feels the vibe, and waits for the cue to join.
4. Bring in the Leads
Once the groove is solid, the director cues in horns, winds, strings, vocals — whoever’s up. Short, timed solos keep things moving. We might follow a loose idea or create a head/theme on the spot.
5. Wrap It Up Clean
After solos, we return to the head or theme. The director cues the ending — sharp, simple, together. Then we rotate: new director, new tune, new vibe.
