The RWC Jam Collective is all about creating music on the fly. It’s a live jam session that doubles as the performance — a space for musicians, listeners, and dancers to share the groove together.
We’re building a community where the groove comes first — funk, soul, jazz, improv, whatever feels good in the pocket. It’s about connection, creativity, and having fun making music together.
Structure meets spontaneity. Groove meets community.

We meet each month to make music in the moment. The rhythm section locks in a groove—funk, acid jazz, or related styles—then brings in guest leads. A rotating Director guides each jam. All instruments welcome, 21+

We are a home for collaborative musical growth. Our mission is to refine the pocket and stretch our skills in funk, soul, jazz, and beyond. We aim to create a non‑judgmental space built on shared listening and creative exchange.

Guidelines keep the music flowing and the groove alive. We prioritize the pocket so the sound has space to breathe. Solos are given room to develop, allowing each player to explore and shape their voice.
