Timeline

Freshman Year

• Settle into HS environment (Grades, study habits, time management)

• Begin Strength and Conditioning programs

• Indoor facility for top instruction

• Make HS Team

• Make list of schools, attend one team camp

Sophomore Year

• Continue making a list of schools

• Send an introduction letter/email and resume

• Start to visit campuses

• Check for potential showcases to attend

• Let coaches know what tournaments or camps you will be attending

  • If it is a school you are highly interested in attend their summer camp

Junior Year

• Film your highlights tape

• Follow-up with coaches you have contacted

• Be proactive in communicating with coaches

• Ask coaches where you stand on their recruits list

• Fill out questionnaires

• Respond to EVERY coach

• Make unofficial visits to schools

• Narrow down your prospective list

• If visiting a college; set up a meeting with the coach

Senior Year

• Make officials visits (only allowed 5)

  • College coaches need to have an official ACT or SAT score and a copy of your official high school transcript before you can make a visit

• Follow-up with coaches and respond in a timely manner

• Apply to the schools applications

• Apply for finical aid

• Sign & commit to a school and program
