Scholarship vs. Being Recruited
Being recruited means that you are a member of the team; you are being ask to go to the school to play there
Getting a scholarship means that you are receiving money to play baseball

College Baseball Programs
NCAA D1: 299
NCAA D2: 274
NCAA D3: 387
Junior College: 512
Scholarships offered per team, per year, by division
NCAA D1: 11.7
Not all programs have full 12 scholarships available. Some programs also have limits on the number of scholarships they can provide to out-of-state or international students.
These 11.7 scholarships can be divided between a maximum of 27 players, with all players on athletic scholarship having to receive a minimum of a 25% scholarship.
NCAA D2: 9
NCAA D3: do not offer athletic scholarships, but they do offer other forms of financial aid.
Junior College: 24
Many programs are not fully funded by their athletic department and are only allowed to offer a reduced portion of the allotted 24 scholarships or no athletic scholarships at all.
Things to Consider
Location: North, South, East, West & City or Suburban
Size of the School: Big or Small
Academics: Does the school offer what I am interested in studying
Social Scene: Greek life, clubs, activities, on/off campus housing, weekend activities
