In managerial accounting, we study two major areas. First, we look at how to account for transactions in a manufacturing company. (Recall that we only looked at service companies and merchandising companies in Financial Accounting). Our second area of study concerns how to evaluate performance and decision-making.
What do you need to remember from Financial Accounting? You must know how to use debits and credits, how to prepare an income statement, and the basics of inventory accounts.
