Major requirements: 

• 27+ credits in Russian, beginning with 051 (intermediate Russian, plus 7 courses at the 100- or 200-level)

• 3 credits in WLIT 118 (Russian literature in translation)

• 3 credits in electives from Russian and East European Studies (such as Political Science 172, "Politics & Society in the Russian Federation")

BONUS: Are you a Russian major from CT, ME, MA, or RI? You are eligible for a major tuition break from NEBHE! 

We encourage our students to spend a summer, semester, or even longer at a university abroad. Students who spend a semester at a university in one of the Russophone cities/states of the former Soviet Union (FSU) can earn up to 5 courses (15+ cr.) toward their Russian major/minor!
