This challenge restarts January 1.
Please read the instructions below to get started! Let's GOOOOO!!!
WHO: ARMY & Friends
WHAT: You will commit to practicing Korean using your own resources and/or these resources
WHERE: Wherever you are!
WHEN: January 1-30
HOW:
FIRST, Take a look at the ⚠️DISCLAIMER below and share your WHY here if you'd like!
"Indeed, one US study found that you have a 65% chance of completing a goal if you tell someone else you’re committing to doing it. And if you have specific check-ins with a partner, your chance of success increases to 95%."
SECOND, please follow me on Instagram if that is helpful to your accountability (not mandatory to participate in the challenge) or join the DISCORD CHAT
THIRD, use the resources to improve your Korean for a minimum of 15 minutes EVERY DAY January 1-30
I may occasionally post videos/reels to my story to supplement the challenge and post it to the LY:KOREAN highlight on my Instagram profile
If you DO NOT have resources you're already using, I HIGHLY recommend the Lingory app (also shown in my resources page) - start a plan 1/1 and play along from there. You can choose a plan that best fits your commitment level for 15mins (or longer)

Free or low-cost resources readily available for use to improve your Korean vetted by ME!
I'm NOT a certified teacher (see disclaimer below) but as a bilingual Korean-American, I have some experience teaching Korean, in volunteer programs, to Korean adoptees. I've also grown up in/live in the states and regularly look for resources that can help me keep up/sharpen my skills.
As such, qualities I look for are accessibility, cost, pragmatic value in actually learning USABLE Korean, and any other distinctly helpful features (fun, great design, etc.) that may encourage continued use.
Find all sortable resources on the last tab of the check-in googlesheet!
**There are MILLIONS+ of Korean learning resources on the internet as you all know - but choice paralysis is real. Start with too many options, you may get overwhelmed and abandon everything~
You're welcome to use whatever resources you're already using - and welcome to suggest great ones for me to consider including in the resources. However, I just narrowed down a few top picks for you to hit the ground running.
⚠️KOREAN DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a Korean-language teacher or certified instructor. I am hosting this challenge to help build consistent study habits and promote accountability. This is purely for community support to help us grow!
