WHY AM I DOING THIS?
Well, professionally, I've worked with the government to promote the health of small businesses -especially ones owned by socially/economically disadvantaged individuals- using digital tools. Beyond that, I have over a decade of experience in design and digital marketing. Using design and project management to help people solve problems/pursue growth is when I feel the most fully myself. ALL of my lived personal and professional experiences have confirmed one thing: it's not just about information.Β
Be it fitness or finance or something else, lasting success and sustainable growth depend on:
deep understanding: starting at the root of the problemΒ
communal accountability: even for the BEST of us, it's hard to stay focused or motivated alone
personal honesty: in the infamous words of one RM, "λκ° λλ° λ μΈμ ν΄?" (ddaeng) 'who are you to acknowledge/validate me?' - you have nothing to prove to anyone so be honest with yourself regarding your weaknesses, your fears, and your greatest assets
consistency: 15 minutes of walking every day is better for your health than going hard for an hour at the gym, burning out, and then abandoning your resolve to become more fit; small, regular automated-transfers into high-yield savings accounts or investment accounts will be more helpful than waiting to be able to invest thousands of dollars at once
WHY BTS-THEMED?
DM's stemming from this original post is what inspired me to try something to mobilize ARMY.Β
IF YOU LOVE BTS, not just for their looks or flashy performances, but for their work ethic, their resilience, their hard-won stamina, their commitment to growth and improvement, their honesty in acknowledging their weaknesses and cultivating their strengths, their focus and intentionality, and of course their teamwork - chances are it's because you value these traits and strive to embody them as well! I really like working with and supporting people who do what they can to pursue growth.Β
Start where you need to start. No one is too young, too old, too whatever to improve their situation. Whether you need to start small or start slowly, starting is better than coasting through the same routines out of fear or complacency.
