Wolf (2nd Grade)
If a Cub Scout has completed the first grade (or is 8 years old) and has earned the Bobcat Badge, the scout may start earning the Wolf rank. If this is the first year for your Scout, the first badge they will work on is the Bobcat Badge. This is usually done while also working on the Wolf rank. This part of the boy scout trail is intended to take one school year, preparing the scout to begin earning the Bear rank after completing second grade. The scout receives a Wolf Scout handbook.
To earn the rank of Wolf, scouts must complete eight Adventures:
Required Adventures:
Bobcat (Character/Leadership)
Paws on the Path(Outdoors)
Running with the Pack (Personal Fitness)
Council Fire (Citizenship)
Safety in Numbers (Personal Safety)
Footsteps (Family/Reverence)

Uniform: The uniform is one of the methods of delivering the Scouting program. In addition to creating a sense of belonging, the uniform gives a Scout the ability to display their personal achievements. A Wolf will need a blue Cub Scout Shirt, Cub Scout belt, Wolf neckerchief, Wolf neckerchief slide, and hat. As part of Rumson Pack 11, Scouts have the choice to purchase the rank-specific hat each year, or a “Rumson Pack 11” hat to wear for multiple years. Additionally, new Wolves will need Pack Number Patches and the Council Patch. Scouts will continue to wear this shirt throughout 3rd Grade. It may be best to purchase this a little bit larger to get multiple years out of it. Pants and shorts are also available to purchase, if interested. Uniforms may be purchased locally at the Morganville Scout Shop or online at the Scout Shop. The Morganville Scout Shop offers patch sewing as well. Uniform costs are not included in Pack dues, however all adventure loops and rank badges are.
