The teaching of rugby is a challenge, a chaotic and very complex game that is a complete overload for young people. However, we have a unique story with ruggerbee that can help inspire your child to truly learn the game. Ruggerbees is designed to break rugby down for your children in a digestible, engaging and creative way. Ruggerbees will allow new players to rugby to get excited about playing through the eyes of ruggerbee. Our tried and tested teaching approach has been greeted with great success in the schools system and Surrey area over a 10 year period from where we have run successfull programmes using the same philosophy for U7s-U18s. 

In addition, we also have extensive experience in elite pathways, that when your child becomes "too old" and "too cool" for learning through ruggerbee and his friends. We will have the skills and expertise to continue to accelerate your journey beyond U18s. 

All of our offers are underpinned by a child friendly and engaging coaching, whether that is 1-2-1, in group sessions, at a birthday party or at our training camps and skills development centres! Ruggerbees will help and support your child of any age and ability and master every facet of the game. Each key aspect of the game being linked to a creative story, character or memorable teaching moment, your child will be able to truly unlock their rugby playing potential! 

TRAINING CAMPS

In all of our camps we strive to have appropriate age brackets, enabling the experience to be aligned to your child’s ability, age grade and stage of mental and social development. 

SKILL DEVELOPMENT CENTRES

Our skill development centres provide your child with the opportunity to improve their game individually and working collectively with others. Providing a high quality coaching experience supporting their own journeys at their respective clubs and schools.

GROUP SESSIONS AND 1-2-1

Our group sessions and 1-2-1 coaching sessions will enable your rugby superstar to hone their technical skills often neglected in clubs and school due to the time constraints and team development, our experienced coaches will help you develop the technical ability required to take the next step, offering positional coaching + development of core skills. 

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

A rugby based birthday party would be the perfect fit for many but difficult to find the right person! With Ruggerbees let us take the wheel of your rugby superstars birthday with ruggerbees array of games and create an unforgettable hour and a half of birthday fun!

COACH EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Our coach education and development programme includes regular face to face sessions, access to an online portal, exclusive coaching content through a communication system, and a continual 72 hours feedback and support service.  Helping simplify coaching for your club coaches, school teachers at a flexible rate. 

Our Philosophy 

TJ Hyam has been coaching Rugby for over ten years. By the age of 18, TJ had already coached South West U18's, Devon U16s and supported the coaching and development of a multitude of schools and club programmes. Since then I have worked for nearly 10 years with Exeter Chiefs, England U18s, England Independent Schools, Harlequins and ran two independent school rugby programmes with significant success in the competitive Surrey area, turning a school into one of the most feared on the London and Surrey circuit, despite limited resources. TJ has had significant success in utilising his teaching practices to create a simplified delivery of the sport for players of all ages and coaches, that helps them develop the nuances of the game required for success. This in turn can assure anyone that coaches of ruggerbees are smaller models of TJ!

TJ has since commenced Ruggerbees, a modelled platform from his successful schools rugby programme applied through a wide range of rugby based offering, alongside mantaining his roles in elite pathways and pursuing his a role as a coach educator with the RFU. 

Ruggerbees has grown steadily via word of mouth in the Surrey and North Devon area coaching over 1000 children in a wide variety of areas. We are running popular skills training camps, group sessions, skills development centres, 1-2-1's, birthday parties and a coach education service for clubs, schools and individual coaches. 

Ruggerbees works hard to provide coaching excellence to children with a broad range of abilities, with every child sharing a common goal of improving their Rugby.
