Dr. Ruffy Rodrigo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Forest Science at Biliran Province State University in the Philippines. He earned his doctorate in Forestry Engineering, specializing in Forest Biology, from the Department of Forest Ecology, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, Czech Republic. 

His academic journey began at Visayas State University, Philippines, where he completed his bachelor’s degree with support from a nonprofit organization based in Germany. He further pursued a master’s degree in Forestry through the Department of Science and Technology’s Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program (DOST-ASTHRDP) scholarship. Additionally, Dr. Rodrigo earned another master’s degree in Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology from the University of Göttingen, Germany, under a prestigious DAAD postgraduate scholarship. This extensive academic training, backed by the German Academic Exchange Service, highlights his dedication to advancing education and research in forest science.

Dr. Rodrigo’s research is internationally recognized, with numerous publications in SCOPUS and Web of Science-indexed journals. Driven by a passion for teaching and research, he is committed to enhancing the understanding and conservation of natural ecosystems.
