Hello, My name is Jerome Cabarus, I'm a Speedcuber which means I have a hobby of solving Rubik's cubes in the shortest time possible. I can solve the 3x3 cube in under 20 seconds. I can solve other cubes such as 2x2, 4x4, and 5x5.
My first cube was the Rubik's Cube with tiles. I got it on September 26, 2019 and started to learn how to solve it immediately. Three hours later, I learned how to solve the first two layers. They were fairly easy.
The next day, I just kept solving the first two layers so that I didn't have to recall the steps I have already learned. At the end of the school hour, I started to learn how to solve the top layer or they call it the last layer. 5 hours later, I learned how to solve the top layer.
That day I showed it to my dad and brothers that I solved the Rubik's Cube there was no reaction after I showed them, but I was very surprised that I learned how to solve a Rubik's cube because my friend Joshua, who can also solve a Rubik's Cube, learned about two- three weeks while it took me just 2 days which I don't think is normal.
In conclusion, I learned how to solve a Rubik's Cube in two days [September 28, 2019] the rest is history. I never went to any competition because nature doesn't want me to. Couple months ago I decided that I want to go to competition because I'm really interested but the storm hit and never really got to go. And today there was a competition will be coming up and that got canceled due to the contagious virus it's been spreading.
Few months ago, I met Joshua. I saw him solving a Rubik's cube under 30 seconds, and that made me think maybe I can do the same.
Couple weeks later my first cube arrived, I immediately started to learn how to solve it. Couple hours later, I learned how to solve the first two layers I was so excited what I accomplished. The next day during lunch hour, I showed to Joshua that I can solve only the two layers of the cube.
During that day after school hours, when I got home I started looking up tutorial on the internet to learn how to do the last layer and I pulled it off. The next day I show to Joshua I can solve the Rubik's Cube. And here I am today but slightly faster than him.
My goal is to average under 10 seconds for the 3x3. I average around 17-19 seconds. One of my other goal is to solve 2x2 blindfolded.
