Prof. Amartya K. Dutta is a distinguished mathematician in the fields of commutative algebra and affine algebraic geometry, and currently serves as the Director of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata. He has made profound and influential contributions to algebraic geometry, particularly in the study of affine spaces and cancellation problems. Widely recognized for his deep insights and scholarly impact, Prof. Dutta has been honored with several prestigious awards and is an elected Fellow of major national science academies in India.

Prof. Jugal K. Verma is a distinguished mathematician in commutative algebra and algebraic geometry, formerly a Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Prof. Verma has had a long and distinguished academic career spanning over three decades.  His research contributions include Hilbert functions, integral closure of ideals, and Rees algebras. He has also played a significant administrative and leadership role in the mathematical community. He is currently a Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar and is a Fellow of several leading scientific academies in India.
