This is based off a community interaction event held sometime in August, where the community posts some questions, and the event manager selectes some questions and post them to the officials for them to reply.
I selected some questions and replies that may be helpful. (Because some of them are very random)
Are there plans to design a 7-Star level in Rolling Sky?
"Not in the short term, considering that the six-star levels are still quite difficult for most players. But it may be considered in the future."
There are many feedback on having too many advertisements, especially after failing a round of level. Do officials think it is possible to reduce the number of advertisements?
"We will reduce the frequency of ad pop-ups and optimise the duration of ads to improve everyone's gaming experience, but we also ask for your understanding that ad revenue is one of the key elements for our team's survival. Thank you for your feedback and support!"
The officials, in order to maintain the game's long-term appeal, should not rush updates at the expense of quality. And how has the official team managed to almost double the update speed compared to before?
"We have optimised and standardised the level design process, and added a parallel development mode. We will also continue to strive to improve the quality of the levels."
How do the developers design a level?
"We start from a concept idea, then make the music and theme based on that concept. Once these two elements are decided, the basics of the level are set."
Why cannot the original co-creation concepts' unique gameplay features be retained when including them, and use the reason "technical issues" to remove the mechanics?
Okay the officials went off-topic for this question, they answer "fanmades" instead of "co-creation"
"This is because when fanmades are made, the editor does not come of the officials, and the submitted level route files are often incompatible. Forcing it to work would consume a lot of time and affect our update schedule. We will not be including new fan-made levels for the time-being."
Players suggest that skins should have special effects and that the prices should be reasonable (most of the recent skin prices are too high) What is the idea behind the developers' recent skin designs?
"Skins are usually aligned with the theme of the levels updated in the current versions. However, some skins are purely for display and do not have specific in-game functions. We will listen to player suggestions and carefully consider pricing issues."
Players suggest that the game should include more varieties of music besides EDM to cater to different player preferences. Does the official team have plans in this regard?
"In the future, we will update with other genres of music. We cannot reveal too much at this time, so please stay tuned for future updates."
Some players suggest changing or adding additional game controls, such as adding multi-touch function to enhance the gameplay experience. What are the official plans regarding this?
"Currently, there are no plans for this because such changes could lead to alterations in the core gameplay."
Players hope to add more features to the account system, such as adding friends, recent play history, avatar selection, and so on. What is the official stance on this?
"The account system will gradually be improved, and more features will be added over time."
Players hope for a more active game community and that the official team can interact more with players and provide timely feedback on their opinions. Does the official team have any plans to host large-scale player events?
"There will be online events, and you may follow and join the official Discord community. We will also consider hosting more creation events on Discord in the future."
Players hope that the difficulty of levels can be more reasonably distributed to avoid being too high or too low. Recently, the official team has released too many five-star levels, and they believed that they are not friendly enough for new players. Why is the official team releasing so many five-star levels? Is there a plan to release lower difficulty levels to attract new players?
"Five-star difficulty levels can offer more expressive gameplay and mechanics, which is why we focus on them. However, we are also aware of the need for new player friendliness, and we will release more lower-star levels in the future."
Players suggest that the art design should be more refined. What are the official plans for improvements in art and animation? Has the official team used AI in the game's background illustrations?
"We have established an internal review mechanism to ensure the stability and quality of the materials. We have indeed used AI-assisted creation."
New players hope that the game can provide more detailed tutorials and guidance, allowing them to manage some difficult operations through tutorial levels before facing higher-star levels. Does the official team have plans to optimise tutorials and new player guidance?
"We currently don't see any major issues with the guidance. We hope everyone can experience the unique gameplay of each level for themselves."
Players have reported some game bugs and hope that the development team can fix them as soon as possible. However, the official technical feedback group has been disbanded. Will the official team establish new feedback channels?
"You can provide feedback through Discord or QQ groups. Since we operate globally, we aim to collect feedback through the same channel to improve efficiency."
Players suggest that the official team increase the game's promotional efforts and hope for collaborations with other games to attract more new players. Does the official team have plans to strengthen promotion and marketing? Are there any collaboration plans?
"Regarding collaborations, we may promote them in the future, but nothing has started yet."
"Players suggest adding bonuses (not the level bonus), like hidden contents to increase the enjoyment of exploration. Rolling Sky has never introduced any bonuses, nor have there been any 'puzzle' or 'anomaly' levels. Does the official team have plans to add these elements?
"We may add bonuses in future levels. One of our level designers has such ideas."
And Lastly...
Will the game develop and release a level editor in the future?
{Are you looking for, RollerCraft?}
