Studying the social lives of stars with 1D models and large surveys
Hi! I'm Rachel, a Samuel P. Langley Pitt-PACC postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh. Previously I was at The Ohio State University where I completed my Ph.D. under Marc Pinsonneault. I'm interested in how interaction within stellar binaries affects the subsequent evolution and death of the stars involved.
I originally hail from Johns Creek, Georgia, but now pass my days in Pennsylvania, working on various topics related to stellar structure and evolution. Click around the website to learn more about me, my research, and the outreach in which I'm involved.
