KUKKIWON – World Taekwondo Headquarters
KUKKIWON, the World Taekwondo Headquarters, is the supreme executive authority entrusted with the exclusive rights and responsibilities related to Dan and Poom promotion tests. Its functions include the approval and supervision of promotion tests, evaluation and screening of Poom and Dan applications, and the issuance and management of official certification. KUKKIWON also holds the authority to enforce regulations and impose sanctions concerning Poom and Dan certifications, ensuring the highest standards of Taekwondo are upheld globally.
Roy's Taekwondo Academy – Official Overseas Member Organisation of KUKKIWON
Roy's Taekwondo Academy proudly serves as an officially recognized overseas organization of KUKKIWON. In this capacity, the Academy is authorized to oversee all matters pertaining to Dan and Poom promotions in its region. This includes organizing and conducting promotion tests under KUKKIWON guidelines, processing candidate applications, and ensuring all certification and performance standards align with KUKKIWON's global requirements. Through its affiliation, Roy's Taekwondo Academy upholds the integrity and excellence of traditional Taekwondo, offering practitioners a direct and credible pathway to internationally recognized ranks.
On 5th February 2020 Legendary Taekwondo Personality Grand Master Pradipta Kumar Roy received most prestigious honor~"World Taekwondo Plaque of Appreciation" from Dr. Chung-won Choue, President, World Taekwondo (WT) in presence of many National & International dignitaries including President of Indian Olympic Association, Vice President of Singapore National Olympic Council. Grand Master Roy is the first Indian sports personality to receive it.

On behalf of KUKKIWON, Mayor Park, the Head of the Korean Delegation Team, conferred the prestigious "KUKKIWON Honorary 7 Dan" to Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, the Hon'ble Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of India. This honor marks a historic moment as Shri Sonowal becomes the first-ever Central Sports Minister in India to receive this unique recognition. This significant gesture highlights the growing bond between India and South Korea in the field of sports and martial arts.
