Family folklore recorded by historians such as Charles Swancott and Jack Woodward brought the more formal records from State Archives and Ancestry sites to life. Patrick's 4 acre land grant at Watson's Bay stayed in the family until 1922 when it was subdivided and sold
Patrick Humphrey's 100 acre grant at Kincumber was eventually transferred to his son Thomas and named Mount Humphreys. Other than the 3 acres donated to the Catholic Church it remained intact until Thomas's death in 1881 when was divided up between his surviving children and his wife Mary.
