Roy T Humphreys

Roy Humphreys is a retired IT professional. One of the more enjoyable tasks of his former career was writing technical manuals and user guides for software that he had developed. With retirement came the opportunity to expand that aspect of his working life in more creative ways.

Roy's paternal great grandfather (x 3) was Patrick Humphreys, an Irish convict who came to Australia in 1793 to serve a seven year sentence for theft. There was far more to his story than the brief formal records kept by government authorities. Fortunately, much of his story, and that of the following generation, was passed down and recorded.

Roy has reproduced a lot of the family folklore in fictional form. His aim is to keep alive the story of his ancestors - and provide entertaining tales for new generations who enjoy stories from the past.
