Rowsy is free to start. Rowsy Pro is optional: a yearly subscription, or a weekly subscription that starts with a 3-day free trial.
The yearly and weekly plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in your Apple Account settings, at least 24 hours before renewal.
Only the weekly plan has a free trial (3 days, new subscribers only). The price after the trial is shown before you start it, and you can cancel during the trial at no cost.
Your projects and patterns are yours. Please only import patterns you have the right to use.
These Terms govern your use of the Rowsy app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, its widgets and extensions (the “App”), published by Yassine Hammouti (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). If these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA prevails for the matters it covers. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.
The free version includes unlimited counters and reminders for up to 2 active projects and up to 20 stash items. Rowsy Pro unlocks the features listed in the App, including the Apple Watch app and complications, unlimited projects and stash, all widgets, Live Activity, Insights, and app icons and colors.
Rowsy Pro is offered as two subscriptions:
Plan: Rowsy Pro Yearly
How it works: Auto-renewable subscription, billed once a year.
Plan: Rowsy Pro Weekly
How it works: Auto-renewable subscription, billed once a week, starting with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
The exact price is shown in the App, in your local currency, before you confirm. Prices may differ between countries and may change; a price change never affects a purchase you already made, and Apple will notify you before any subscription price increase that requires your consent. Launch prices may be available for a limited time.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
The Yearly and Weekly subscriptions renew automatically for another period (one year or one week) at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Free trial: the Weekly subscription starts with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers (once per Apple Account and subscription group). If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your Apple Account is charged the weekly price and the subscription renews every week. The Yearly subscription has no free trial: the first charge is the full yearly price.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:
On iPhone or iPad: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Rowsy, then tap Cancel Subscription.

When you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Your projects and data are never deleted when Pro ends: everything you created stays in the App. Free-version limits then apply to creating new projects and stash items, and Pro-only features (such as the Apple Watch app) lock again.
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, under Apple’s policies. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
To use Pro on a new device, sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Restore Purchases in the App.
Both plans support Family Sharing: members of your Family Sharing group can use Rowsy Pro at no extra cost.
You own everything you create or import in the App: projects, notes, photos and files. We don’t claim any rights over it and can’t access it (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for having the right to use the patterns and files you import; Rowsy is a personal reading and counting tool and does not distribute patterns. Please respect designers’ copyrights.
You agree not to reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the App except as permitted by law or by the Standard EULA, and not to use it to infringe anyone’s rights.
We work hard to keep your counts safe (local storage, iCloud sync, Recently Deleted and export). Still, devices fail and iCloud can be turned off, so please use the App’s export feature to keep your own backups. Features that depend on Apple services (iCloud, Apple Watch, widgets, notifications) depend on those services being available.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country.
We may update the App and these Terms. If we make a significant change to the Terms, we will update the date above and let you know in the App. If you keep using the App after a change, the new Terms apply. A change will never take away a subscription period you have already paid for.
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply under the Standard EULA, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.
