Portland Rowing has a new boathouse and a 7-lane buoyed race course on Vancouver Lake - 12 miles from campus. See info below.

Portland Rowing has a current project for an on-campus boathouse. When the project is complete:

• Portland Rowing will be 1 of 2 schools on the west coast that can walk to the boathouse.
• 1 of 3 universities in the country that have a 7-lane buoyed race course within a 20' drive.
• 1 of 2 universities in the country that has 2 boathouses...1 on a river and 1 on a lake.

Portland Campus Boathouse

Historically, UP Rowing rented rack space at the Portland Community Boathouse in the downtown industrial area, but now the team is rowing at the Vancouver Lake Boathouse and building a boathouse on campus. The on campus boathouse will provide our team miles on the Willamette River to row - from downtown Portland to Sauvie Island, to the Columbia River.

The goal is to build the dock and ramp going during the summer of 2018, with the boathouse construction commencing in the fall of 2018. Boathouse rendering and site below.
