Your child's name, their photographs, your voice notes and every routine you build stay on your device. We never receive them, and we have no server that could store them.
That is the whole point of how RoutiKid is built, and the rest of this page explains it precisely — including the one category of information we do receive: anonymous crash reports and usage statistics that count what happened without ever recording who it happened to.
Who we are
RoutiKid is published by Ronak Vakhariya, an individual developer based in India, who is the data controller for the limited information described below.

1. What stays on your device
The following is written to your device's own storage and is never transmitted to us, in any form:
• Your child's name and profile photo
• Every routine, step, step photograph, voice note and timer you create
• Every record of a completed, prompted or skipped step, and the progress history built from it
• Your app settings — Kid Mode exit method, sound, reminders, whether iCloud sync is on
• Your answer to the one setup question we ask, "how did you find RoutiKid" — this is stored locally and is never transmitted anywhere. You can skip it.
The app works entirely offline. If your device never connects to a network, every feature except purchasing and iCloud sync continues to work exactly as it does now.
2. iCloud sync (optional, and yours)
If you have RoutiKid Pro you can turn on iCloud sync. When you do, your routines are copied into a private CloudKit database inside your own Apple Account so they appear on your other devices.
That storage belongs to you, not to us. We have no credentials for it, no access to it, and no ability to read, export or recover it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Sync is off until you turn it on. Turning it off stops further copies being made. Apple's push notification service is used to tell your devices when synced data has changed; it carries no content of its own.
3. Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment card, your Apple Account email, or your billing address. What the app can determine, on your device, is whether that device currently has an active RoutiKid Pro subscription — nothing else, and that answer is not sent to us.
4. Diagnostics and app analytics
RoutiKid uses Google Firebase to understand whether the app is crashing, whether it is slow, and roughly how it is being used, and to let us change a small number of settings (such as which label appears on the yearly plan) without shipping an update. This is the only information that leaves your device and reaches us.
Firebase Crashlytics
Collects: crash and error reports — stack traces, device model, iOS version, app version, and a randomly generated installation identifier.
Why: so we can find and fix crashes.
Firebase Analytics
Collects: app opens, sessions, app version, device model, iOS version, language, and a country derived from your IP address — plus the app's own usage events, described below.
Why: to know which parts of the app are used and where people get stuck.
Firebase Performance Monitoring
Collects: timing measurements for app start-up and network requests, with device model, iOS version and app version.
Why: to find what is slow.
Firebase Remote Config
Collects: an installation identifier and basic app and device details, sent when fetching settings from our project.
Why: to adjust app settings without an update.
The usage events the app sends
RoutiKid records a fixed list of its own events so we can see how the app is actually used — for example that a routine was created, how many steps it had, that a routine run was finished or stopped part-way, that the subscription screen was opened and whether it was closed without buying.
Every one of those events carries counts, durations and fixed labels only. There is a single place in the code through which all of them pass, and it accepts nothing else. Specifically, these never appear in any event:
• Your child's name, or any name
• The title of any routine or any step
• Any photograph, any voice note, or the filename of either
• Any text you typed, anywhere in the app
• Your answer to the setup question about how you found RoutiKid — that stays on your device, exactly as the screen says it does
So an event might say "a routine with 7 steps was finished in 240 seconds, 6 done and 1 skipped". It cannot say whose routine it was, what the steps were called, or what any of them showed.
We also record a few coarse properties against your installation: whether the device has an active subscription, which plan, whether iCloud sync is on, and how many children and routines exist — the last two as ranges ("1", "2", "3-5", "6+") rather than exact numbers.
We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), we do not show advertising, and we do not run any advertising SDK. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing.
Google processes this data on our behalf as a data processor. See Firebase's privacy documentation at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy — data may be processed on Google servers outside your country, including in the United States, under Google's standard contractual clauses.
5. Permissions the app may ask for
• Camera — only if you choose to photograph an object for a routine step. The photo is saved to your device.
• Photo library — only if you choose an existing picture for a step. We read the picture you pick and nothing else.
• Microphone — only if you record a voice prompt for a step. The recording is saved to your device.
• Notifications — only if you enable routine reminders. Every reminder is scheduled locally on your device. We do not operate a push server and cannot send you a message.
Every one of these is optional. Declining any of them leaves the rest of the app working.
6. Children
RoutiKid is bought, installed and set up by a parent or carer. It is not directed to children as a source of data: a child using Kid Mode cannot reach purchases, settings, the web, or any means of sending information anywhere.
Information about a child that a parent enters — their name, their photograph, their routines — never leaves the device except into that parent's own private iCloud, and only if the parent turns sync on. We do not receive it, we cannot request it, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, write to quickmate.apps@gmail.com and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
Because we hold no account and no copy of your content, most data requests are things you can carry out yourself and immediately: deleting a child, a routine or a step removes it and its media from the device, and deleting the app removes everything at once. If iCloud sync was on, removing RoutiKid's data in your device's iCloud settings removes the synced copy too.
For the diagnostics described in section 4 — which are the only data we receive — you may ask us to access, correct or delete what is associated with your app installation, or object to its collection, by writing to quickmate.apps@gmail.com. Please write from a device you still have the app on, as the installation identifier is how we would locate the records. We answer within 30 days.
Where the GDPR applies, our lawful basis for collecting crash and usage diagnostics is our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. Retention
Content on your device is kept until you delete it. Crash reports are retained by Firebase for up to 90 days; analytics and performance data are retained for up to 14 months, after which Google deletes them automatically.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page, and — where the change is significant — say so in the app. Continuing to use RoutiKid after a change means you accept the updated policy.
