Join the Rotary Club of Central Missouri on Saturday, April 3, 2027, for our Wheels in Motion 5K + Bike.
Run it. Walk it. Bike it. However you choose to participate, your registration helps us make a difference for children and families right here in our community.
What Are We Raising Money For?
Wheels in Motion is about taking care of local kids.
Funds raised through this event help the Rotary Club of Central Missouri meet real needs in our community - from getting kids properly fitted for brand-new shoes, to helping pay outstanding school lunch balances, and supporting other needs that directly impact local children.
These may seem like simple things, but they can make a meaningful difference in a child's day.
When you participate in Wheels in Motion, you're not just putting in the miles. You're helping a local child take their next steps with a little more support.

Helping Kids, One Pair at a Time
In 2024 and 2025, the Rotary Club of Central Missouri partnered with Brown’s Shoe Fit for Kicks for Kids, an effort focused on making sure local children had something many of us take for granted, a comfortable, properly fitting pair of shoes.
The partnership began in 2024 with students at Warrensburg Elementary. Working with school counselors and social workers to identify children in need, the program provided 100 pairs of new, high-quality shoes to local students.
But Kicks for Kids was about more than simply handing out shoes. Each student received an individual fitting, giving volunteers the opportunity to measure their feet, find the right size and fit, and make sure they left with shoes that were comfortable and made to last.
In January 2025, the effort expanded to serve 60 middle school students from Warrensburg and Knob Noster, continuing the mission of reaching more children throughout our community.
Where We Go From Here
Those experiences helped reinforce something important for our Rotary Club: sometimes making a difference starts by meeting a very basic need.
As Wheels in Motion moves forward, so does our mission. Funds raised through the event allow the Rotary Club of Central Missouri to continue helping local children and families - whether that means putting a new pair of shoes on a child's feet, helping with unpaid school lunch balances, or responding to other needs in our community.
Our goal is simple: turn every mile into an opportunity to help someone right here at home.
