See What We've Been Up To
There's always something happening at the Rotary Club of Central Missouri. From welcoming community leaders and learning more about the organizations serving Johnson County to celebrating milestones, building friendships, and getting out into the community, Rotary gives us plenty of opportunities to connect, serve, and have a little fun along the way.
Here's a look at Rotary in action.
On October 2, 2026, we had a great time joining the Warrensburg Homecoming Parade for this year's “Once Upon a Homecoming” theme! Our Rotary crew brought a little Toy Story fun to the parade route while celebrating alongside our community. Events like this are a great reminder that Rotary isn't only about the work we do - it's also about showing up, building connections, and enjoying the community we're proud to serve.
On May 28, 2026, the Rotary Club of Central Missouri celebrated its 5-year anniversary with a special ribbon cutting.
Five years represents more than a milestone -it represents five years of friendships, community partnerships, service projects, and people coming together to make a difference throughout Johnson County. We’re proud of how far our club has come and excited about what’s still ahead.
In March 2026, we celebrated National Pi Day the Rotary way -with a pizza party! Members gathered for good food, plenty of laughs, and an opportunity to simply enjoy time together outside of our regular club business.
The celebration also gave us the opportunity to recognize Alan Brandt and Sharri Carter for their contributions to our club.
Service may bring us together, but the friendships and fellowship we build along the way are a pretty great part of Rotary, too.
Our Rotary family continues to grow! We were excited to welcome Tony Albertina, Kimberly Jennings, Allison Boswell, and Cecilia Drerup as members of the Rotary Club of Central Missouri.
Every new member brings new ideas, talents, connections, and opportunities to serve. We're excited to have them as part of our club and look forward to the difference we'll continue making together.
Throughout the year, we welcomed community leaders and local organizations who helped us learn more about the needs, programs, and opportunities throughout Johnson County. Our programs included representatives from Brown’s Shoe Fit, Johnson County Central Dispatch, ECHO, Warrensburg Parks & Recreation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Cos4Hope, the Warrensburg Parks & Recreation Foundation, PCMR and the Freedom Festival, Edward Jones, and Rotary District 6080.
We also made time for what makes Rotary special beyond our service - fellowship and friendship. We celebrated Pi Day together, opened our doors to the community during our July Open House, welcomed new members, and marked an especially meaningful milestone: the 5-year anniversary of the Rotary Club of Central Missouri.
Our members continue showing up in the community, including joining the Warrensburg Homecoming Parade for its “Once Upon a Homecoming” celebration. Each meeting, new connection, partnership, and shared experience helped strengthen our club and the relationships that make our service possible.
