Where we help - our Disaster Relief Fund

Your gift can help Rotary clubs provide disaster recovery and support rebuilding efforts. Contributions are combined into one fund and made available through Rotary Disaster Response Grants; they cannot be directed to a specific disaster.

Rotary districts that have been affected by natural disasters can use Rotary disaster response grants to launch their own projects or work with established relief organizations to help their communities recover. Grant funds can be used to provide basic items such as water, food, medicine, and clothing. Districts work closely with local officials and groups to ensure that the funding will meet a specific community need.

The Rotary Foundation also offers funding to support long-term disaster recovery efforts through global grants.

In 2020 - 2021 the Rotary Foundation provided Disaster Relief Grants for the value of 7.9 million US dollars to efforts to combat the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, global grants for the value of almost 28 million US dollars were provided.
