1. What is your club language? Can I participate even if I don't speak Finnish or Swedish?

Our club language is English. We welcome you to participate in any language you feel comfortable with, for example, using online translation software.

2. Is Rotaract Helsinki still active?

Yes! Our activities slowed down during the pandemic years, but we are back to our usual routine now.

3. Why is there a membership fee?

As a registered organization under Finnish law, we have administrative costs that we are required to cover. Additionally, Rotaract membership fees support Rotary International/District operations. 

The leaders of Rotaract Helsinki act on a voluntary basis and do not receive any monetary compensation; in fact, we pay the membership fee too!

4. What makes Rotaract different?

• For young professionals, not just students – not affiliated with any specific university or school. Involvement doesn’t end when you graduate.

• Not affiliated with any specific religious group: our members come from diverse faiths

• Not affiliated with any specific political group

• Explicitly international – we welcome and invite individuals from around the world

• Part of the world's largest humanitarian service network
