Have you ever heard of the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words?"
Pictures, photographs and artwork are a great way to capture important events in our own lives and throughout history. In the past, photos were difficult to capture given the amount of time needed to take them.Today we have many different tools that allow us to share visual information nearly instantaneously. LIKE MEMES :-)
For this project, you will be researching a battle that happened during the American Revolution. You will be responsible for conducting research using a variety of resources to determine...
WHAT happened in the battle
WHO was a part of the battle (people and groups)
WHERE the battle took place
WHEN the battle occurred (refer to a timeline of the war)
WHY the battle took place (what led to it or what circumstances created it
HOW the battle was resolved (retreat, surrender, etc.)
You and a group of people who researched the same battle as you will work together to create a meme that you think represents a specific moment or event in the battle. IT SHOULD BE FUNNY OR IRONIC! Here are some examples below.
Use the websites listed below to find ACCURATE and RELIABLE information about your battle and the people associated with it.
Use your 5Ws + H research sheet to take notes.

You and your group will create a meme and design it to look as if someone from your battle had posted it. Think about the American Revolution as if it happened in today's modern times. How would the experience translate? Think of a way you can recreate thebattle in a style that might be shared as a posted meme today. Take a photo of 1 or more people (your group can even pose for a group shot) and then use that photo to generate a meme using https://imgflip.com/memegenerator.
