We grew so fast, we got our own league. 

The season will run from June 15 – August 15, with practices on Mondays and Wednesdays and games on Fridays at 6 PM. Exact practice times and field locations will be announced once teams are finalized. Tentative locations include: Rieke Elementary and Gabriel Park (SW Portland), Berkley Park (SE Portland), Roosevelt (North Portland), and Parkrose (NE Portland). 

There will be NO weekend tournaments — allowing athletes to stay competitive while still enjoying their summers, family time, and other activities. Our focus is on player development, confidence, and creating a positive experience for every athlete. League rules are designed to maximize learning and participation, including a 5-run limit per inning, pitching limits to protect athletes’ arms, and randomized batting orders to ensure every player has opportunities to contribute and grow.

This summer marks a major milestone: the launch of Portland’s first recreational fastpitch softball league created specifically for teenage girls. We’re not just building teams — we’re making HERSTORY.

New this year: Coaches will receive a stipend. We are hiring recent PIL softball graduates and local college players to coach Rebels teams this summer. By investing in young women leaders from our community, we are not only developing athletes — we are developing the next generation of coaches, mentors, and leaders in the game.

Team fees are $350. Payment plans are available. There is a discount option if you commit to helping with fundraising.
