A brand new softball experience creating the affordable opportunity for high school athletes in the Portland metro area to play in the NAFA Sunday Fall Ball Tournament in Newberg, Oregon.
Ciera Jones, head coach at Clark College and the softball program coordinator at Friends of Baseball, has graciously volunteered to coach this team for its inaugural season.
Ciera played softball from T-ball through college, as well as field hockey and lacrosse at the collegiate level!
Since then, she has coached high school and college softball. Ciera has spent time researching and publishing about the fun of sport, as well as the policies that prevent disadvantaged youth from participating.
We are so grateful to have Ciera coach this team.
Krissy Govertsen is the head coach at Ida B. Wells High School in Portland, Oregon. Krissy played t-ball, little league, travel, recreational fall ball, and one season DIII of college softball.
She fondly called Fall Ball 'Fun Ball', and when she heard there were no teams in Portland that just got together for fall ball, she couldn't resist!
Welcome to Rose City Rebels!
