Pack 6202 Scout Uniform Requirements

Uniform Requirements

All Cub Scout packs have uniform requirements that may match or be slightly different. Pack 6202 has an easy list of requirements for the Scout's to adhere to and we expect the Scout's to dress accordingly. To start, the best place to see what the full uniform looks like for each rank (grade), please visit the Cub Scout Uniform page on the official BSA site.

Pack 6202's uniform requirements are as such:

  • Dress Shirt (button down; tucked in; Class A's)

  • Pants or shorts (that have belt loops)

  • Belt

  • Neckerchief

  • Neckerchief Slide

Dress Uniforms & Activity Uniforms - Class A's & Class B's (deprecated terms)

You may hear some common terms being used in relation to the uniform. While no longer official nomenclature, Class A's are the official dress uniform and Class B's are the activity uniforms. The only real difference between these are the shirt and pants or shorts. The official dress shirt is the button down shirt you buy at the Scout Shop. The activity shirt is simply a t-shirt that has a Cub Scout reference on it and can be obtained from the Pack or from a number of different events (i.e. Loopy Camporee).

When and Where to wear the right uniform

While wearing uniforms to specific events is a loose requirement, they are strongly encouraged and the Scout's enjoy the comradery when they all arrive dressed alike.

Official Dress Uniforms, unless otherwise stated, are used at official events such as Pack Meetings, Den Meetings, to and from Camporees.

Activity Uniforms are worn usually during events that require the Scouts to be more active like when hiking, adventuring, camping, and playing.

Most events should include their dress code.
