These Terms of Use apply to your use of RoomProof.
By using RoomProof, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. App Purpose
RoomProof is a local room evidence documentation app for hotel and short-stay guests.
The app helps users take guest-collected photos of visible room concerns, organize those photos into local reports, create guest request messages, and export PDF reports with RoomProof Pro.
RoomProof documents guest-collected photos of visible room concerns only. It does not determine whether a room is clean, sanitary, safe, or pest-free.
2. Not an Inspection, Detection, or Safety Tool
RoomProof is not an inspection service, detection service, professional assessment tool, safety tool, legal tool, or emergency tool.
RoomProof does not:
Determine whether a room is clean, sanitary, safe, or pest-free
Detect pests, insects, mold, blood, hidden cameras, hazards, or unsafe conditions
Use AI image analysis
Verify or confirm that a room concern exists
Guarantee any response from a hotel, host, property manager, platform, insurer, or other party
Provide legal, lodging, inspection, safety, medical, insurance, or professional advice
You should not rely on RoomProof as a substitute for your own judgment, professional inspection, hotel staff assistance, host support, emergency services, or legal advice.
3. User Responsibility
You are responsible for how you use the app, what you photograph, what you write, and how you share reports, messages, photos, or PDFs.
You agree to use RoomProof only in a lawful, respectful, and appropriate way.
You are responsible for making sure your use of the app complies with applicable laws, property rules, hotel rules, rental rules, privacy expectations, and any agreements that apply to your stay.
Do not use RoomProof to photograph people without appropriate permission.
Do not use RoomProof for harassment, false claims, misleading reports, unlawful surveillance, trespassing, or any harmful purpose.
4. Camera Permission
RoomProof uses the camera so you can take photos for local room evidence reports.
You can control camera permission through your device settings. Some app features may not work if camera permission is disabled.
RoomProof does not use the camera to identify people, recognize faces, detect room problems, or perform AI image analysis.
5. Local Data and Reports
RoomProof is designed for local, on-device use.
Saved reports, photos, scan steps, timestamps, app settings, hotel or room fields, request fields, and notes are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
If you export a PDF, copy a message, share a photo, or send a report outside the app, you are responsible for where that content is saved or shared.
6. Report and Translation Limitations
RoomProof reports are based on photos and information you provide.
RoomProof does not verify the accuracy, completeness, quality, meaning, or context of your photos, notes, messages, or reports.
RoomProof may provide guest request messages and PDF report text in multiple languages. These translations are provided for convenience only.
RoomProof does not provide certified translation services.
User-entered hotel names, room numbers, and notes are displayed as entered and are not translated by RoomProof.
7. Free and Pro Features
RoomProof may offer free and paid features.
Free features may include a limited number of saved reports and local guest request message creation.
RoomProof Pro is a one-time non-consumable in-app purchase.
RoomProof Pro may include unlimited saved reports and PDF report export.
Feature availability may change over time.
8. Purchases and Refunds
RoomProof Pro purchases are handled through Apple’s App Store.
We do not directly process your payment information.
Pricing, taxes, payment processing, purchase history, family sharing availability, refunds, and App Store account matters are managed by Apple and may vary by country or region.
You can restore eligible purchases through the app when using the same Apple ID, subject to Apple’s systems and policies.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the app for unlawful, unsafe, misleading, harassing, or harmful purposes
Misrepresent RoomProof reports as professional inspections, certified findings, or verified conclusions
Claim that RoomProof determines whether a room is clean, sanitary, safe, or pest-free
Use the app to secretly photograph people or private information without appropriate permission
Use exported reports in a misleading, defamatory, fraudulent, or harmful way
Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, modify, or exploit the app
Interfere with the app’s normal operation
Use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights
10. No Guarantee of Outcome
RoomProof is provided as a documentation tool.
We do not guarantee that any report, message, photo, or PDF will result in bedding replacement, extra cleaning, room change, refund, compensation, platform support, legal outcome, insurance outcome, or any other result.
Hotels, hosts, property managers, platforms, insurers, and other third parties make their own decisions.
11. No Guarantee of Accuracy or Availability
RoomProof is provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that the app will always be complete, accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your specific situation.
Results may vary due to lighting, camera position, motion, photo quality, device performance, user input, language selection, file export behavior, device storage, and other factors.
You use the app at your own discretion and risk.
12. Intellectual Property
RoomProof, including its design, text, features, interface, icons, layout, and app content, is owned by the developer or licensed for use in the app.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, or create derivative works from the app without permission.
13. App Changes
We may update, modify, add, remove, limit, or discontinue app features at any time.
We may also update these Terms of Use from time to time. If changes are made, the “Effective Date” may be changed.
Your continued use of the app after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoomProof and its developer are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
This includes, but is not limited to, decisions made based on app content, exported reports, shared photos, guest request messages, purchase issues, data loss, device issues, property disputes, hotel or host responses, refund requests, cleaning requests, room-change requests, or interpretation of visible room concerns.
15. Termination
You may stop using RoomProof at any time.
We may suspend, limit, or discontinue access to the app or features if necessary to protect the app, comply with law, address misuse, or maintain the app.
16. Apple App Store Terms
Your use of RoomProof may also be subject to Apple’s App Store terms, Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, and any rules that apply to purchases, refunds, and account management through Apple.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and Apple’s applicable terms for App Store transactions, Apple’s terms may control for those transactions.
