1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SettleSnap ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App and uninstall it from your device.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and JaJaS ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the SettleSnap application.
2. App Description
SettleSnap is a personal finance management application designed to help users track transactions, manage payments, and organize financial records. The App operates as a hybrid system:
Offline Mode (Default)
Full functionality without internet connection
All data stored locally on your device
Complete privacy with no data transmission
Optional Cloud Sync
Optional Google Sign-In for cloud synchronization
Cross-device data access through Firebase services
Enhanced features available with cloud connectivity
3. License Grant
Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
Install and use SettleSnap on your personal devices
Access and use the App's features for personal, non-commercial purposes
Use cloud sync features when properly authenticated
License Restrictions
You may NOT:
Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease the App
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Use the App for any commercial or business purposes beyond personal finance management
Remove or modify any proprietary notices or labels
Use the App in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
4. User Accounts and Authentication
No Account Required
The App functions fully without creating an account
All core features available in offline mode
Optional Google Sign-In
If you choose to use cloud sync features:
You must have a valid Google account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account
You may sign out and delete cloud data at any time
We are not responsible for unauthorized access due to compromised Google credentials
5. User Content and Data
Your Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the App
Transaction records, notes, contacts, and settings remain your property
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your data
Data Responsibility
You are responsible for:
Accuracy: Ensuring transaction data is correct
Backups: Creating local backups of important data (when using offline mode)
Device Security: Protecting your device with appropriate security measures (PIN, biometrics, etc.)
Data Recovery: Understanding that data loss may occur due to device failure, software issues, or user error
Data Storage Options
Local Storage
Default storage method on your device
No automatic cloud backup
Risk of data loss if device is damaged or lost
Cloud Storage (Optional)
Requires Google Sign-In and internet connection
Data encrypted and stored on Google Firebase servers
Subject to Google's terms of service and privacy policies
You may export or delete cloud data at any time
6. Sharing and Link Generation
Transaction Links
SettleSnap can generate shareable links containing transaction details:
Link generation is entirely optional and user-initiated
Links are shared through your device's standard sharing mechanisms
You are fully responsible for what you choose to share and with whom
Recipients can import transaction data using these links
Shared links may contain sensitive financial information
Sharing Responsibility
When sharing transaction links:
Verify recipient identity before sharing
Understand that shared information becomes accessible to recipients
Consider privacy implications of sharing financial data
Use secure communication channels when sharing sensitive links
7. Premium Subscription Services
Subscription Features
Premium subscriptions provide ad-free experience and enhanced features
Subscriptions are processed through Google Play Store billing
Subscription terms and pricing are displayed at time of purchase
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
Billing and Cancellation
All billing is handled by Google Play Store
You may cancel subscriptions through your Google Play account
Refunds are subject to Google Play Store policies
Premium features remain active until subscription expires
Changes to Premium Services
We may modify premium features or pricing with notice
Existing subscribers will be notified of material changes
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
8. Advertising
Free Version Advertising
The free version may display advertisements
Ads are provided through Google AdMob services
Ad frequency is limited to maintain user experience (maximum once per 5 transactions or 10 days)
You may opt out of personalized advertising in settings
Ad Consent
You may control ad personalization through app settings
Non-personalized ads will be shown if you opt out of personalization
Premium subscriptions remove all advertising
9. Third-Party Services
Integrated Services
The App integrates with several third-party services:
Google Services
Google Sign-In for authentication
Firebase for cloud storage and analytics
AdMob for advertising
Google Play Billing for subscriptions
Device Services
Contact access (with permission) for autofill features
Notification services for payment reminders

11. Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to use SettleSnap for:
Any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes
Money laundering or other financial crimes
Storing or managing business financial records (personal use only)
Creating false or misleading transaction records
Interfering with or disrupting the App's functionality
Attempting to gain unauthorized access to cloud services
Violating any applicable laws or regulations
12. No Financial Services
Limited Functionality
SettleSnap is a personal ledger and tracking tool ONLY. We do NOT provide:
Banking services or accounts
Payment processing or money transfers
Loans, credit, or financing services
Investment advice or portfolio management
Tax preparation or financial advice
Currency exchange or conversion services
Know Your Customer (KYC) verification
No Financial Advice
The App does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
All financial decisions remain your responsibility
Consult qualified professionals for financial advice
We are not liable for financial decisions based on App data
13. Data Backup and Recovery
Backup Responsibility
Offline Mode Users
No automatic backups - you are responsible for creating manual exports
Export features available within the App for local backups
Data loss risk due to device failure, damage, or corruption
Cloud Sync Users
Automatic cloud backup when properly signed in and connected
Cross-device synchronization for data consistency
User-initiated export options still available
Google service dependency - subject to Google's service availability
Data Recovery Limitations
We cannot recover data lost due to device failure in offline mode
Cloud data recovery depends on proper authentication and Google service availability
No guarantee of data recovery in all circumstances
Users should maintain their own backup strategies for critical data
14. App Updates and Availability
App Updates
We may update the App to add features, improve performance, or address security issues
Updates may change functionality, user interface, or terms of service
Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of changes
Some updates may be required for continued functionality
Service Availability
We strive to maintain App availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
Cloud sync features depend on Google Firebase service availability
We may discontinue or modify features with reasonable notice
Offline functionality should remain available regardless of service status
End of Service
We may discontinue SettleSnap with 30 days' notice
Users will have opportunity to export data before service termination
Cloud sync services may be terminated separately from the App
15. Intellectual Property Rights
App Ownership
SettleSnap, including all code, designs, and documentation, is owned by JaJaS
All intellectual property rights are reserved
The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
User Content
You retain ownership of data you create within the App
We do not claim ownership of your personal transaction data
You grant us limited rights to process your data for App functionality (when using cloud sync)
Trademarks
SettleSnap and associated logos are trademarks of JaJaS
You may not use our trademarks without written permission
Third-party trademarks remain property of their respective owners
16. Disclaimers and Warranties
"As Is" Provision
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of information
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Security of data or prevention of unauthorized access
Data Accuracy
We do not warrant the accuracy of any data you enter or calculations performed
Currency formatting and mathematical calculations are provided for convenience only
You are responsible for verifying all financial information and calculations
Third-Party Services
We do not warrant the availability or functionality of third-party services
Google services integration is subject to Google's terms and availability
We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions or changes
17. Limitation of Liability
Liability Limitations
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:
Direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
Business interruption or lost opportunities
Damages resulting from use or inability to use the App
Specific Scenarios
We are not liable for:
Missed Payment Reminders: Notification system failures or missed alerts
Data Loss: Due to device failure, software issues, or user error
Calculation Errors: Mathematical or currency conversion mistakes
Security Breaches: Unauthorized access due to device or account compromise
Service Interruptions: Due to maintenance, updates, or third-party service issues
Maximum Liability
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount paid by you for premium subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim.
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JaJaS, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
Your use of the App in violation of these Terms
Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
Your sharing of transaction data or links
Your data entry errors or financial decisions based on App data
Your breach of any representation or warranty made herein
19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
Before initiating court proceedings, parties agree to attempt resolution through:
Direct negotiation between the parties
Mediation through a mutually agreed mediator
Arbitration if mediation is unsuccessful
Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive rights to participate in class action lawsuits or collective arbitration proceedings.

While SettleSnap may be available internationally, these Terms are governed by Indian law.

You are responsible for compliance with local laws in your jurisdiction regarding:

Restricted Jurisdictions
We may restrict App availability in certain jurisdictions due to legal or regulatory requirements.

24. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time by:

Acceptance of Changes
Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of modified Terms
If you disagree with changes, discontinue use and uninstall the App
Premium subscribers will be notified of changes affecting subscription terms

25. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Invalid provisions will be modified to reflect the parties' intentions to the extent possible.
26. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and JaJaS regarding SettleSnap. These Terms supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals relating to the App.
