The 29th National School on Algebra will take place between 9-13 June 2025 at the University of Bucharest.
The school is organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Bucharest in cooperation with the Simion Stoilow Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy, the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Ovidius University in Constanta, and the Romanian Society of Mathematical Sciences.
The aim of the school is to present recent directions of research in commutative algebra highlighting connections with algebraic geometry. There will be series of 4 one-hour lectures delivered by the invited speakers: Josep-Alvarez Montaner (Discrete Morse theory and splitting techniques for free resolutions of monomial ideals), Claudiu Raicu (Polynomial functors and stable cohomology), Alessio Sammartano (Hilbert schemes of points), and also time for contributed talks by the participants.

In case you would also like to contribute a talk in the meeting, please send a title and a short abstract to the same email address by the deadline of 1st of June 2025. Preference will be given to early career mathematicians.
