Hi! I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Visual Computing Group at Harvard University. Previously, I was briefly a postdoc at the Visual Computing Center at KAUST where I also received my PhD.
My main research interests are in data visualization, and large-scale data (gigapixel images, high-resolution volumes) representation and processing. I also started taking interest in the intersection of data visualization, mixed reality, and tangible user interfaces. Below are videos showcasing some of my selected publications. More details here.
- Sparse PDF Volumes presented at IEEE Vis 2014
- Sparse PDF Maps presented at Siggraph Asia 2012
During my free time, I prefer spending time with my family nowadays, though I am still into tennis, watching or playing whenever I get the chance.
You can reach me at MD211, 33 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA 02138, USA and sicat(at)seas.harvard.edu.
