BEFORE YOU GO TO-DO LIST ITEMS
Students live in dorm style housing with single and double rooms.
The Trinity Rome Campus has two housing locations within a few blocks of each other, Casa Publicii and Casa Anselmo. If the student group for the semester is on the smaller side, all students will live in Casa Publicii.
The Director in Rome makes room assignments, based upon the Rooming Questionnaire you completed in the post acceptance section of your application.
Housing assignments will be provided prior to arrival in Rome.
Students who receive special housing arrangements on their campus must provide an official letter from their school outlining the details. The Rome campus cannot guarantee that special housing arrangements can be accommodated.
The program is not able to accommodate or guarantee student requests.
Rooms are small, and there is very limited space for storing your belongings, so plan accordingly (suitcases that can nest inside each other for storage are highly recommended).
European standards for climate adjustment are much different than the US, which means your room will likely be warm in the summer and chilly in the winter.
You should be sure to pack something warm to sleep in, and we recommend a micro-fiber blanket as well, because they are warm but pack easily.
These rules pertain to all housing provided by the Trinity College Rome Campus and at all housing provided during program-sponsored trips.
Students attending the Trinity College Rome Study Away Program are responsible for upholding the standards social conduct set forth below, which promote an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect. Students who fail to uphold these standards are subject to disciplinary action and may be asked to find accommodations elsewhere. Severe or recurring misconduct may result in expulsion from the program.
No alcohol at any housing provided by the Rome Campus or the hotels that host us during our school trips. Anyone caught bringing alcoholic beverages into any housing provided by the program or the hotels where we lodge students during our school trips will be reported to the Program Director and the alcohol will be confiscated.
Use, possession, purchasing of illegal drugs (including marijuana and other drugs), whether as an individual or a group, will result in immediate expulsion from the program.
No unregistered visitors/guests in the housing provided by the program or the hotels that host us during our school trips. Students must meet friends off the premises. In some housing it is illegal (Italian anti-terrorist law) to host unregistered guests on the premises so this is a serious matter.
No loud talking/noise at or in the vicinity of the housing provided by program or the hotels that host us during our school trips, especially during the night hours (11:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.).
No disrespectful behavior towards staff or administration under any circumstance.
