Rombouts-Shilin Conference 2021

What is the Rombouts-Shilin Conference?

The Rombouts-Shilin Conference is a free conference organized by students for students from all levels, and offers a platform for undergraduate (BA), graduate (MA), and postgraduate (PhD) students wanting to share their work with fellow students and researchers from all over the Netherlands and abroad. Besides this, the conference also provides a podium for researchers and personalities in the field through various lectures and workshops. The first conference was held in 2011. As of 2015, Shilin helps with the organization of the conference and organizes it every other year since 2019.

We strive to bring together Chinastudies and Asian Studies students as well as other enthousiasts from the most diverse research fields and subdisciplines through various student panels, lectures and workshops.
