About

As an alumna of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens and the American Academy at Rome, at first, I thought that doing a travel study tour of Roman Britain would be easy. Surely there was a travel study program about ancient Roman Britain like the ones in Greece and Italy? Then, I started looking and came up short. No university in England (that I could find) offers such a program. Sure, there are tours run by private companies, but most of the ones I found were geared toward retirees. I found no travel study program specifically for teachers of Latin and the classics. So, after months of research...I designed my own. And I created this Website to help other teachers more easily do the same.

I'm Nathalie Roy, a middle school teacher of Roman Technology, Myth Makers, and Latin at Glasgow Middle School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. I love to travel. I'm the one with my face in a map all the time, looking up distances between National Parks and Monuments all over the USA. Oddly (to some), I also like to PLAN travel. I read books, listen to podcasts, join Facebook groups, and scour reviews for awesome things to see and do. I'm not a foodie, and I don't like to drink so if you're looking for this type of advice, you've come to the wrong place. But if you like to peruse museums, obsess over ancient objects, enjoy gorgeous ancient views, and learn about the ancient Romans - I'm your gal.
