A Russian naturalistic drama set in 1902, Philistines follows the petit-bourgeois Bessemenov family in a time of poilitical upheaval and tension. I played the role of Perchikin, an alcoholic old lodger who sells birds for a living, and lives at the house of the Bessemenovs. A wonderful experience is naturalistic acting, Philistines is a closer look at the human psyche and its evolution through the generations.
