In the past two years, we performed studies on network traffic anomaly detection, and explainability of ML models for anomaly detection, publishing in several conferences. My contribution in the laboratory has been the development of these solutions for streaming network traffic, with adaptive, incremental anomaly detectors and explainers of such models.
This year, I presented a study on anomaly detection in streaming IoT traffic under concept drift at the 39th Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS). Proceedings to be released soon.
Current research focuses on explainability of unsupervised dynamic clustering of anomalous network traffic.

I’m happy to announce that I’m starting a new position as Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Institute of Informatics of Japan! I am joining the project Zero Trust IoT by Formal Verification and System Software, promoted by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) under the program Core Research for Evolutionary Science and Technology (CREST).
It is a hands-on research project aiming to develop real-world solutions to the growing cyber threats of our age of Internet of Things. I am excited to learn a lot of the current state-of-art of IoT!
