Drones and Robots

At the 2023 STEM Fair there are multiple exhibits for those who are interested in drones and robots.

Millikin University runs a summer robotics camp for high school students.

The drone racing exhibit to learn how you can get involved with the local first-person view (FPV) drone racing scene.   Groups include Illinois MultiRotors and Route 66 FPV.

Rochester Junior High School will demonstrate its Drones in STEM curriculum.

Famingdale Elementary from Pleasant Plains participates in the Wonder League Robots Competition (WLRC) with Dash the robot.

Robot Rebellion, the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team from Rochester High School, will demonstrate the robot the team it built and uses in local competitions.  Other FTC teams are invited to join Robot Rebellion.

Other programs that are not anticipated to be at the2023 STEM Fair

Ninjaneers, the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team for high school students run by the UIS Computer Science department will be restarting the program for the 2023-24 school year.
