Astronomy and Physics

At the 2023 STEM Fair there are multiple exhibits for those who are interested in astronomy and physics.

UIS Observatory will have a telescope available for viewing the moon, weather permitting, and posters for the ever-popular Star Parties series.

Rochester High School's Physics Club, a new club at the school, will have a demonstration of one of its activities

Science Olympiad Division B has several space science events including Meterology and Solar System.  Rochester Junior High School's Science Olympiad team will be at the STEM Fair to demonstrate the activities.


The following exhibits are still being considered for the 2023 STEM Fair

Millikin's Requarth Observatory support astronomy classes at hte university and has public observations every Wednesday night.

Sangamon Astronomical Society is  dedicated to raising the public’s awareness about the science of astronomy and to increasing the interest of astronomical science to education in the Springfield area


The following past exhibitors will not be able to attend this year.

The Challenger Learning Center at Heartland Community College in Normal provide space-oriented STEM camps and curriculum including simulated space missions.
