I conceived "Homeland Insecurity" as The Office meets Reno 911 in the airport security line. I hired talented writers (Ben McMillan and Josh Greenbaum) and raised some money to produce a pilot. During development, we decided to produce a six-episode web series. Soon thereafter, we went shopping and landed in development at CBS Networks with Sony Television as our studio partner. The web series could just be the best thing you've never seen before.
"The Baby Bosses" chronicles the lives of Samantha and Nina, lifelong best friends and co-owners of Beverly Hills baby boutique Petit Tresor. This docu-drama series explores the ladies' high-profile, high-pressure business that caters to the rich and famous while also delves into the disfunction of being single moms and best friends who work together. I produced the show along with partners Mentorn Entertainment and Arthur Smith, and ultimately sold the show to Style Network. Watch the sizzle reel here.
"The 404" was one of several shows I executive-produced under a first-look deal with Sony Pictures. This six-episode web series drama was created by the uber-talented television writer, Quinton Peeples. As soon as I heard Quinton's pitch, I fell in love with the concept and the characters. Of all our shows, I am most proud of "The 404" for its incredibly high entertainment and production value. Watch the trailer here.
My idea for "Petty Offense" was a television comedy about petty criminals who are sentenced to community service. I love the workplace genre particularly because it provides fertile ground for conflict and comedy. I executive-produced four short episodes of this show, and I optioned it to Sony Television under my first-look producing deal.
"Dark Life" is a show about immortal siblings searching for a way to die. When I heard the pitch from creator, Travis Betz, I immediately bought the rights and put the show into Trend Media's active development pipeline. After some redevelopment with writer-director Gentry Smith, we produced a 22-minute pilot that would appeal to the millennial audience. Watch the trailer here.
When Total Beauty approached Trend Media about producing a weekly beauty news show for its massive web audience, we jumped at the opportunity. The idea was to deliver topical beauty news to the site's loyal fans in a visually appealing and upbeat format. After producing a pilot with NBC station host Jessica Vilchis, Rembrandt loved the concept and came on board as the exclusive sponsor. I produced and directed all eight episodes of this hit web series, one of which you can watch right here.
I developed and produced this original web series in parternship with TotalBeauty.com. The concept was quite simple - celebrate Total Beauty's loyal fans' moms with a complimentary makeover and document the results. Give the video a watch and see for yourself why we won a Telly Award for production quality.
