6 TH LEARNING, TEACHING AND TRAINING (LTT) MEETING ACTIVITIES

Day 1, 2.May 2022
We started our last LTT meeting in Tallinn with visiting the PROTO avastustehas https://prototehas.ee/en/home/ .
Partnership had the opportunity to hear about history of hot air balloon. After the interesting overview made by guide Julia students were mixed into the international groups for the experiment. Pupils had a goal to build their own balloons using the plastic bags, candles and sticks. We must say it was very interesting and all teams had got positive results - the balloons rised up.
The second workshop was held at the Tallinn University Eduspace Labrotory https://eduspace.tlu.ee/en/ . At first we heard the introdaction what the Eduspace Lab is made by Janika Leoste. After that we were divided in two groups and the experiments were ready to start. There were different challenges: constructing a car with the LittleBits and moving through the labyrinth with the Sphero balls. The opportunity to be in two different places in same time in help of telepresence robot Double 3 from Double Robotics gave for the pupils a lot of fun.
After the welldone workshops was a time to walk through medivial old Tallinn belonging into UNESCO heritage. Two hours with the guide went quickly. Students and teachers from different countries of Europe were impressed by the beauty of our capital.
Day 2, 3.May 2022
Second day of the meeting started in Martna Basic School. After the welcoming ceremony all teams had presentations about their schools and countries.
Partners were divided in two groups. Younger ones from Romania and Turkey worked with Lego WeDo 2.0. They had a STEM lesson. At first they builded the F1 cars, after they made experiments and did conclusions how impact changing of wheels and transmissions on the speed of the car. Students from Estonia contucted these lessons.
Older students from Portugal, Poland and Italy worked with the Tynker. They had a programming lessons. Their goal were to made a questionnaire about Europe.
Students spent the evening on the adventure trail in Haapsalu making some sports and resting after the hard work in school.
Day 3, 4.May 2022
Third day we spent in Haapsalu. It was a day for cultural programme. We have a guided tour in city and we visited the castle.
It was very nice to walk on the coast of Baltic sea and see how swans and other beatiful birds are nesting. And to heard about history of city and health resort and why in Haapsalu there is Africa Beach.
The Castle Museum was very interesting too. We heard a lot about history of medivial period. Students had had opportunity to be like knights.
Day 4, 5.May 2022
On the last day we had some more STEM lessons with the robotics kits. The group of younger students tried to figure different shapes with the EV3 robots. Older ones worked with the LegoSpike Prime sets. They did some experimets about kinetic energy and tried to park cars on right place on the parking field.
Afternoon we spent in Silma Õpikoda. There we walked on the special nature trail and solved different tasks. To send the answers we used radio comminication.
After the interesting walk was time to close the meeting. Before to say final Goodbye we got certificates, made photos and ate a delicious cake.
