5 TH LEARNING, TEACHING AND TRAINING (LTT) MEETING ACTIVITIES
Timisoara, Romania
Between March 20-25, 2022, the LTTA project meeting took place in Timisoara. March 20 and
25 were travel days, and March 21-24 were working days.
On the first day, there were activities in the school: the official opening, the presentations of each
group of participants.
Gymnasium School no. 16 Take Ionescu presented the activity STEM and the space: ESA /
ESERO.
Aspects regarding the teaching of STEM in school were revealed: teaching of technologies,
computer sciences, coding.
Because the project coordinator in this school is an ESA / ESERO trainer, but also a SCIENTIX
ambassador, he insisted especially on activities to get to know the universe, the solar system,
space in general.
The next day the activities took place at the EXPERIMENTARIUM-interactive science
laboratory.
The Experimentarium TM Center aims to make science more visible, more palpable and more
accessible, through learning methods synthesized under the motto "experiment yourself". The
proposed tools and experiments allow participants to become active explorers, increasing their
confidence in their ability to understand how the universe works.
The activity in the center promotes a culture of experimentation and collaboration, arouses
curiosity, increases understanding and stimulates new ideas. Through experimentation,
participants discover and become aware of physical phenomena and laws. Teachers and students
could experience how the laws of collision or precession motion work, they could see stationary
mechanical waves or fluid flow effects, they could be convinced of the effects of electricity, they
could understand how colors are composed on the TV screen, they could move on an air cushion,
etc. . In this laboratory, our teachers and students were led into the world of experiments by a
number of tutor-guides ready to offer additional explanations or help if needed.
in the afternoon the same day was visited the Polytechnic University of Timisoara, the Faculty of
Mechanics, the mechatronics laboratory, The participants got in touch with this new science,
born from the fusion of mechanics, electronics and informatics.
On the third day, workshops were organized at YOUNG ENGINEERS. The students got in touch
with the ROBO Bricks program. The RoboBricks development program teaches Software
Engineering, Technology, Entrepreneurship and Mathematics (STEM). In each lesson, students
build a robot that performs various tasks. After completing the construction of the robots,
students are given the opportunity to develop and create algorithms on the computer and learn
how to implement them in the WeDo coding system. Most computer programs are in English.
The last day of the LTTA was dedicated to cultural visits: museums and cultural objectives of the
city of Timisoara. Teachers and students discovered a multicultural city.
